Time for recycling

The innovative watch is not only a stylish accessory, but also a symbol of change. Its case is made from 100% recycled marine plastic, sourced from Dutch waters. The regranulate comes from EREMA customer Healix, a clean tech start-up based in Maastricht in the Netherlands, which recycles plastic fibre waste from fishing, shipping and agriculture. Manufactured with injection moulds by plasticpreneur in Austria – part of the EREMA Group – this watch shows how waste can be turned into value.

The company Tide Watches from Rotterdam transforms plastic waste from oceans and rivers into high-quality timepieces. The 40 mm case of the watch “The Kraken” is made entirely from recycled ocean plastic – a material that once threatened the environment and now lives on in the form of an elegant watch.

Powered by an automatic movement, the watch does not require a battery – it runs solely on the movement of the wrist. Waterproof and robust, it accompanies its wearer through everyday life and adventure.

It is manufactured using high-precision injection moulds from plasticpreneur, an innovative Austrian company that is part of the EREMA Group. Together with EREMA customer Healix, which supplies the regranulate, the result is a product that not only measures time, but also progress.
